In winter Vrchlabi becomes a centre for cold weather sports. Generally by December or January the entire region is covered in snow, lending to the entire town an atmosphere radiating with light and warmth. Cosy winter evenings, cross country skiing trips, downhill skiing and snowboarding are activities that are all attainable in idyllic Vrchlabi and its surroundings.
